Welcome!

Welcome!

I'm a mechanical engineer working at the intersection of design and fabrication. At JBI Interiors, I develop and engineer furniture, fixtures, and millwork for hospitality spaces, airports, restaurants, and theme parks, where the work has to hold up to daily use while maintaining design intent well beyond delivery and installation.

Before JBI, I worked in prefab housing at a fast-growing startup and in product development sourcing parts internationally for consumer goods. That range, from one-off high-end pieces to mass-produced products, shapes how I think about a project: get the engineering right, respect the material, and understand what it actually costs to make something well.

I studied mechanical engineering at UC Berkeley and I'm currently pursuing an MBA at USC Marshall. If you've got a project in mind, I'd love to hear about it and see what we can design together.

My name is Joe Li.
